For slavic plates I use matt black high temperature paint designed for stoves and motorcycle engines. I suspect the temperature part to be irrelevant but it's matt black and I had some.

Good news I tested acetone-solvant based spray black paint on a test holo and it turned out quite successful

The self adhesive vinyl foil is nice but I have micro air bubbles trapped despite being very meticulous, any special technique or vacuum-based lamination process ?

I was looking for paint because my lamination process somehow is not satisfying xD

Nice,
so I would not recommend water based backing
as it will swell the emulsion and the image might vanish at least while it is not dry. But maybe it also damages the hologram or alters color.

Anway I would recommend to laminate it with a self adhesive black foil, as it is a dry process and easily applied .

Which is the best black paint spray to use for Hologram backing ? I’m working with silverhalides.

Acetone-based ?
Water-based ?
