I haven't used Knox gelatin, so I don't know how brown it is.
I believe that Knox is quite popular amongst home holographers in the USA.

All of the gelatins I have, have some colouration of sorts when viewed in the packet,
or when dissolved in water, but as we are just using thin coatings of tens of microns at most, you don't
see the colour of the gelatin when the glass has been coated.

I don't worry about it.

Knox film is a little brownish? Is there a gelatin that is crystal clear? transparent like glass.
