Cyanine CD produced by Taio Yuden is the right choice. Unfortunately the record layer contains more than cyanine dyes (some stabilizers), which seems to desensitize the AgX somewhat. Use extract from blank one.

?? :? those dyes can be using in diy Agx plate making, also how to recognize the dye used in the cdr, so others can get the dyes from the cdr saving $$$$
