Re: Reference Beam with two Bi-Concave Lenses
I use the same technique. It works fine with my 532 DPSS and HENE at the same time.

Well... been a bit busy with my day job and I was out of plates. Just ordered some more plates, so I hope to be shooting again soon!

Beam delivery with fibers
Still curious - how much light loss compared to using lenses?
It looks like good results! Was your exposure time significantly longer than your old setup?

Looks like some good progress. Interesting that the color bands on the rod seem to be shifted (out of alignment).
The more i see good progress with DCG, the more I want to start making my own!

Beam delivery with fibers
John, I am interested in the output when using fibers. I know you said there is a lot of loss, but can you quantify this. Input vs output and divergence of output beam. I currently have 18 different optical components on my table to make a split beam 2 color reflection - there is a lot of loss in my...

wolf - multi color
Thank you. I used Ultimate plates and chemistry. I had about 18 different optical components to make this split beam reflection using my 315M (green) and HENE (red). I ended up with one combined color reference beam and four seperate (2 red and 2 green) object beams. This seemed to work nicely, but ...

Beam delivery with fibers
Ed, That beam splitting, fiber launching unitlooks nice. It looks like the DBL-3 splits the beam twice to make three beams (1 reference and 2 object). I wonder what kind of lense is at the end and how large an object can be illuminated? Is there any adjustment or way to change the output (divergence...
