Different small tables...

Hello guys, I'm planning to make 30 x 40cm transmission and rainbow holograms in a not very quiet place (the floor tend to vibrate a bit). For the table I found several granite slabs 60 x 90 cm big and 3cm thick. I created 5 different tables. I'm using some heavy duty trestles, a 2cm thick MDF board...

Light Shaping Diffuser

Hi everyone, I'm a bit struggling in finding a good way to display some transmission hologram (with the light source being 3-4 meters away), I did some tests with some Light Shaping Diffusers but I keep obtaining a very "grainy" light diffusion (even by using two sheets together, and in so...

Re: Displaying sandwiched transmission holograms

Hi I still need to decide how to display some fragment of transmission holograms. My first idea was to sandwich between glass (or plexiglas), but as a matter of fact there is the risk of a "damp patch" effect (as mentioned by Saxby in Practical Holography), which I remarked after some test...

Re: Temperature

Thank you ! I'll continue testing.
So the fact of having the emulsion at 25 C (in the room) and then putting it in the 20 C processing bath shouldn't affect the hologram right ? (beside the fact that overtime the bath will slowly increase of temperature, and therefore accelerate the processing).

Temperature

Hi all, These days I've been developing some holograms in a room with 24-25 °C and processing them in a chemical bath at 20 °C degrees, with some good results. I was wondering though how this difference of temperature impact the creation of the hologram. Is it recommended-crucial that both room and ...

Reference Beam with two Bi-Concave Lenses

Hi, I'll try soon to shoot some 30 x 40cm transmission holograms. I've noticed that I manage to cover that size by using two bi-concave lenses, one after the other, for the reference beam. I'm using a 532nm DPSS laser with the two lenses and the beam is much cleaner (and brighter) than if I use one ...

Re: Spatial Filter

Thank you again for the proposal, which I think is a good price! Tempting, but for simplicity reasons I'll go with another option.
Cheers

Re: Spatial Filter

Hi,

Great!

Bob, thank you very much for your insightful advices ! That Jodon unit could definitely be an option.

Jsfisher, thank you. Could you tell me the price you’re selling them please ?

Paulo, thank you very much for this address ! I will definitely look into this option as well

Cheers

Spatial Filter

Hi everybody, I would like to buy a spatial filter (ideally for max 500$) in order to use it with a 40x objective (like this from Edmund: 40X DIN Plan Commercial Grade Objective - Stock #43-908) and a 15micron Pinhole. Any suggestion on models or somebody who's selling used ones ? On Ebay there are ...
