Thanks JR, I have found a few international sources, including ebay.
I'll give the Sulphate a go first as it's available locally.
If it doesn't work, I'll have no other choice but to import the Bromide and deal with customs' questions.

Re: Developer Kit confusion
Thanks again Petr, I think I can live with that. At least until I've gained experience and I'm no longer the slowest thing in the process  Thanks for mentioning the agitator, never thought of that. I have a stir plate left-over from my home-brew beer days that is very similar to the one picture...

Re: Developer Kit confusion
Some chemicals take ages to dissolve. Thank you Petr, experience coming forth again. The instructions make no mention of this. Can you say how long they take to dissolve? Hours/Days? I would guess it would only be hours? That shouldn't be a problem, If I mix at the start of a session, should be rea...

Re: Built myself a large format camera
Very nice!
I made a pleated bellows many years ago before the internet, had to figure it out myself... so I have respect for your efforts!
Will you be making your own plates too?

Re: Cupric Bromide substitute for PBU-Amidol?
Thank you gentleman for the metol tip, I had already looked at PBU-metol but decided against it having read Hans' own preference for the Amidol version in his book ' Silver Halide Recording Materials ': "The amidol version produces probably the cleanest results and shows the highest bleaching r...

Re: Developer Kit confusion
...when it says "add equal amounts of Dev A and B together", it means the two components must be mixed, and the final volume of developer consists of half A and half B.... Hi Din, Thanks for the reply, I understood the Part A/B thing no problems. I only got stuck with the uneven volumes o...

Re: Developer Kit confusion
Hi Petr, JD-2 process should work well as is. Thanks, yes I would use as-is for PFG-01. I would not use it for green reflection holograms as it shifts their colour to blue. This was the reason for my choosing PBU-Amidol to use with the VRP-M While PBU-Amidol is a great bleach, I am not sure if I rec...

Cupric Bromide substitute for PBU-Amidol?
Hello all. I'm pretty sure the answer will be a resounding 'No' but doesn't hurt to ask. Hopefully Hans Bjelkhagen visits this forum? Is there an alternative/substitute for the Cupric Bromide in PBU-Amidol? I'm able to obtain everything else I need with relative ease (already have the Amidol), but I...

Re: Developer Kit confusion
Thanks again for the assistance Petr. I'll be using JD-2 to begin with as I've decided to start-out with PFG-01/VRP-M films. Much cheaper while I'm in the beginner mistake making phase. Once I gain experience and I'm making fewer mistakes I'll graduate myself to the more pricey PFG-03M with JD-4, an...

Re: Developer Kit confusion
Hi Petr, thank you for the welcome. See, I knew it would be something simple! I actually never considered the bleach could be re-used! I don't recall it being mentioned in the instructions. I had read advice that developer shouldn't be re-used, to maintain consistency it is better to use fresh devel...
