Re: Tricks for measuring coherence length
Hello, Using a Michelson interferometer, getting the frindges with exact same distance beetween beamsplitter and the two mirrors (x1 and x2) and then, move back slowly one of the mirror until the frindges disapear then stop and mesuring one more time x1 and x2 length.. With this simple formula, you ...

Re: Multiplex with analog transparency slides ?
Thanks Petr for your advices. The table I used is probably unstable as you said and anyway, it's far too small. I will build a new one with wood, inner tubes for isolation and carpets for better stability. I will wait to get all the elements before starting making holograms. About the interferometer...

Re: Multiplex with analog transparency slides ?
Thanks Petr, I think I have successfully built the Michelson interferometer. Here is a picture of my installation (the table is too small et not enough stable I think, I will create later a isolation free table with inner tubes, carpets and ciment: http://www.furrylight.com/holography/IMG_0003.JPG h...

Re: Multiplex with analog transparency slides ?
I've started to build a Michelson interferometer in my cellar (with sand on the ground, it's a very old house). I have used a red laser diode (4 mw) from Integraf so, I'm sure the laser is OK. 2 mirrors (front surface) and 1 50/50 beam splitter, I have followed the advices from Integraf to set the o...

Re: Projection of an hologram on a screen ?
The purpose is to magnify the image to be able to show it to several persons at once, in a large room. Idealy, a white light (some kind of LED) would be easier to show the hologram, instead of using a laser but if the laser is required for the projection, I can use it. I suppose lenses are required ...

Re: Projection of an hologram on a screen ?
I was thinking about a blank screen or a mirror. It seems it can not been done with a white screen (or a wall) but with a mirror.

Re: Multiplex with analog transparency slides ?
Thanks Iobaz for all your informations, I will contact those holographers. By the way, what are the maximum power for laser diodes usable for holography ? There are 100 - 150 mw / 405 nm / 532 nm and 650 nm diodes available on ebay, some are TEC cooled and stabilized, far to be just a simple pointer...

Re: Multiplex with analog transparency slides ?
Thanks Petr, I will follow your advices. I will start gradually, your are completely right: nothing is worse than having a blank plate because of a specific problem and not knowing what may be the problem. I want to make hologram for more than 20 years !! Now, I have the opportunity to have differen...

Projection of an hologram on a screen ?
Hello, Is it possible to project a transmission or reflection hologram to a screen with a white LED as light source and with a lense to focus the picture on the screen ? (like a slides projector but with hologram instead of slide) If not, what is the best setup to project an hologram on a screen / w...

Re: Multiplex with analog transparency slides ?
Thanks lobaz ! I think to start with "more classical" rainbow holograms with 3D printed objects as objects (I'm a 3D modeler, teacher and designer). By the way, I plan to create plates holders and lenses / mirrors holders on Rhinoceros software for 3D printing in ABS. I will share the 3D S...
