Many thanks guys Can you read something from the pattern of the stripes? Are they parallel, circular, ...? I've seen both strips and circular. Can you tell me what each indicate? I know I hvae seen thinner glass cause circular patterns. I've seen it were as you tilt the hologram there is a bright im...

Plastic
Thanks Petr
Settling time is around 20-30 minutes.
Exposure time is around 4 minutes
Oh and just to be clear on the metal object I use as a reference it is adjancent to the plastic one.
Again the platic object shows a dark image while the metal is pretty sharp while rotating the hologram

I've been shooting some objects that are plastic maybe like a polyethylene similar to the green plastic army men we played with as kids (and maybe still do) I'm still having issues with movement and wanted some advice. So imagine gluing an object to a flat surface, then rotated 90 degrees and shot. ...

I know it has been a bit of a let down that the pass around was not as successful as we all might have liked . I honestly think that the events that occured regarding Dave was not intentional and to me understandable. It also does not help that lack of forum members that prevents these sort of thing...
Movement
Many thanks guys
Movement
I've tryed shooting a couple of objects the last few months. One resin and another plaster. These were bust and in both cases I saw some sort of movement. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? You would think the objects would not move. I use 458nm and the power at the object is like 1-2mw so I ...

pH of water affects noise?
I know it has been mentioned years ago when DCG was king ;) that an interesting observation is those of us who use a container of water rather then running water is the amount of gelatin seen in the water bath after a session. You would think that would be a bad thing but rather seems not to effect ...
Master
I was wondering..... Say I make a nice master (out of DCG or silver) (Denisyuk) but as I tilt it I see there is a band of darkness (sounds like a movie) due to slight movement. I decide to use it. I set the master plate down flat place another plate on top. And through the magic of holography I get ...
