My favorite tape too, and a "must have" for any hololab. You're right about edge "ringing" from cards used to mask edges, but if they are only a few inches away, the issue is minimized. Also, I'd worry about tape touching photopolymer that's only very lightly attached to the glas...

Those lines can form from reflections off the bottom edge too. I like to use cardboard masks to block light from hitting the edges. Nothing to clean. Really nice to see such good results with that material after four years! Especially with a darkish subject. I think the "iso lines" you men...

Agfa was 1.5mm for 4x5", 3mm for larger. 1mm is fine for photopolymer, even 0.7mm. Thicker works better for DCG because DCG is formed via crosslinking, which can bend substrates that are too thin during exposure causing motion fringes.
