I remember people using a tapered glass wedge as a way to add thickness. I can't imagine grinding this piece. Is anyone still doing this?

That is Joe's fringe locker. He has tons of experience with them. I have none.

I have not read about this for years but if my aging memory serves the idea is to put a moving diffuser in the object beam. The diffuser spreads out the speckle. I usually use broken light bulbs as diffusers. Perhaps, someone here remembers more. I'll post when I run into it again as I go through my...

You could re wire your fringe locker to provide some speckle reduction.

Thank you Dinesh, I am planning to use the scrape the edge for 6mm and laminating a glass plate option. Can you recommend a sealant?

The crazy thing is I have forgotten simple ideas like the set up for making an achromatic hologram. I remember what book to look in but 15 years ago it would have been fresh in my mind.
