Re: 3D Silhouette
why does it have to do with holography? Maybe there’s a forum somewhere that has to do with your 3D printer and it’s software. With a 3D printer you can make mounts for mirrors, lenses, beam splitters, plate holders etc that work really well. And you can 3d print models and make holograms of those ...

Re: Decent cheap timed shutter?
Hi, You can get really cheap delay timers of Ebay these days. They cost about £5-10. The timers have an input triggered countdown timer and a relay timer with many different programs. For example I set my timer to count down 4 mins to let things settle and then to fire the relay for 9 seconds for pl...

Re: Ferric ammonium oxalate tests
Diazo was a direct replacement for Dichromate in gum and screen prints. From what I have read it was 2x faster as well.
How hard would it be to extend the spectral sensitivity of Diazo?
I know it's not the same thing but in the same vein.

Re: SilverX color holographic emulsion
I found that water quality have great impact on the emulsion. When I have used deminaralized water from supermarket instead distilled water, resulting emulsion was noticeably worse. If milky haze appears in AgNO3 solution something is wrong. Hi Soda, I'm using a variation of your process and have n...

3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane
Hi,
Can anyone in the UK/EU supply my with some 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane please?
Or point me at a resource that will sell to individuals.
As far as I can see UK companies will only sell to businesses these days
Thank You
Grayham

Re: SilverX color holographic emulsion
Hi Soda, I just wanted to say thank you for posting this, it's much appreciated. I had been looking at the Silver Cross paper by Han's and trying a few experiments. But to have your tried and tested formulae based on the "silver cross" written out like this, is invaluable. Thank you very m...

Re: Silver Halide Recipe / Formula please
I've been using a diffusion process based on Jeff's and Han's ideas though this requires cast (mold) coating. The cast coating seems to stop the the silver nitrate precipitating out of the emulsion allowing the AgX crystals to grow in a controlled manner when dipped in bromide. This works well for s...
