Re: Holography Book

Great stuff Ed. Thanks - even after all these years, I'm always learning new things about the basics from you.

Re: Holography Book

Whatever it was, it was pretty short, 85 pages, done after 1985. They look like they could be an instructors class notes and pretty basic although gives leads to following up on more sophisticated work. Doesn't match anything in my library. You could probably do as well or better by picking up a use...

Re: Rejuvenating old Ilford plates

I have a lot of old Ilford plates as well. Two summers ago, I exposed a number of them (532nm) as transmission holograms and got very clear & clean but relatively dim images. No presensitizing of any kind. I used the GP-61 developer, non hardening fix, and the GP 431 bleach - all designed origin...

old Multiplex film type?

Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone here, who may have actually worked at Multiplex Company at 454 Shotwell, remembers what type of 9" wide film was used to make the majority of 120s and 360s? I suspect it may have been Agfa 10E75AH but would like to know for certain if possible.
Thanks,
Jody Burns

Re: Taming the divergence of a 315M

Thank you Ed for the interesting hypothesis! I had a feeling that it might be a virtual point source but that was based on my trial and error attempts at collimating the raw beam, not on any truly mathematical knowledge. I think Dinesh has a different conclusion which he put forward either in the FB...
