Digital Stereogram

Post by Jeffrey Weil »

Hello Everyone,

This set of images are relating to my post in Johnfp's thread called “digital holography” found in the general section. http://holoforum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=323

This is a 100 frame full color stereogram I shot with Larry Liberman a few years ago. It is 2x2 inches. The model was digitally created and color separations were shot off of the computer monitor with a 16mm camera.

The picture and video of the hologram were taken with a simple point and shoot camera so the quality of the images are not that great.

In real life the hologram looks much better. There is no fall off on the left side like in this video. There are also a few marks left from the embossing rollers, they needed to be re-surfaced. The marks are not on the master. Only this copy.

3dmax, someone else made the model. I only used the program to generate the perspective frames needed.

yes I have worked with 3d studio too, there are several good programs now to work with 3d... but 3d studio is the best
