Have the forums on Facebook completely taken over? Most of the posts here seem to be me trying to sell lasers. Seems sad....best, Phil

I still post here occasionally when something is especially important to me. Mainly though, I search old posts for info here when trying to figure something out.

I'm here. I'll be posting something soon about a PL530 system I bought from Soda.

I prefer this forum to discuss more involved topics.

And I am still here too. I am also bussy with the small green PL350. I bought a controller from soda. The laser is working but i have to change my construcion of the TEC and cold plate because it is not stable ( oscillating ) I think the coldplate from the hot side is to small.
But i have stable fringes.

Mine gets real hot. I stuck some fans on the heat sink and controller with some masking tape - runs nice and cool, beautiful beam. I'll try to attach some muffin fans in a nicer way.

Watch out for those fans! They can rock the table into uselessness for split beam work!

See this for my solutions: http://edweslystudio.com/LabTour/Lasers ... ble19.html

I'm still here, and I agree that this is a much better place to discuss technical details than Facebook, as it's better organized and searchable.

yeah, I know fans cause vibrations. I'll do the same as I do with the fans on my C315M - turn them off while I'm doing a shot.
This off topic is getting off topic.
