Forum server moved

Hello Everyone,

Today the server of the holoforum has been moved to a new location. The server is still in Switzerland, just a few km from the old place.

That rarely/never happend on the old forum and has happend numerous times already ? It just makes me question the server's quality...........

It did happen, and it seemed to me that it was down more frequently on the old forum.

it shows responce times, if you run this when the server go down you will find if its the server or one of the relays...you will notice as it get over seas the reponce times get longer....rember the net is like a chain .. your only good as your weakest link

I hosted the forum on a server farm. It was expensive but many of the contributors here paid for it. Much of the rest was paid for by Google adds. I contributed about $1000 in cash and Perhaps 10 hours or so per month for about 8 years. Hosting the forum is thankless and not cheap.
