Danny suggested drying Silver Halide Holograms in Alcohol for a brighter hologram. Has anyone tried this yet?

I've done that many times but never noticed any increase in brightness. What usually happens is that seems to actually help hold some moisture in and my hologram spends the next day slowly color shifting from red to the final color (often green).

It used to be the standard method with agfa and the pyrochrome process. 1 minute in 100% IPA was the drying method I was taught in the 80's. When I switched to Slavich VRP and used the pyro method with alcohol drying, I was getting nothing. Eventually I found a paper by Hans Bjelkhagen that suggested that reversible bleach and alcohol drying would be detrimental to Slavich plates. I switched to a rehalogenating bleach and Photoflo drying and now I get very bright results with Slavich.
Danny may be referring to DCG plates which is usually dried in IPA.
