ACRYLIC PARABOLIC MIRRORS

Any here use acrylic parabolic mirrors for holography with any success? I'm looking at a few on Ebay and I was wondering if these "solar ovens" can do the job without dropping a ton of money on a real optic.

I have not tried this mirror type, but maybe they would be OK as a collimator for non-critical display holography. if the price is right, try it! If they don't work out, you can always make a solar furnace. Or learn to use the funhouse mirror distortion as an art effect

I would like to bend one with a quick grip clamp and use it with abberations.
