Hi everyone
I have finally shot some good holograms
this is a home made silver halide plate
20 sec exposure
6 min development with gp-2 diluted 15ml to 200ml,plus 10 drops 6% ammonium thiocyanate
Then 3min each 70 and 99% IPA(it dosen't photo too well)
This is a MBDCG plate, made to the HoloWiki article formula
10 min exposure
soak water @ 26deg cent
3min each in 70 and 99% IPA
Both were shot with a polarized 20mw hene
I also used windshield repair acrylic to seal both holos--works really well

Very nice! I can not tell from the pictures are the edges milky? Any thing that looks milky is water.

The silver one is a bit under exposed, but the MBDCG one is milky .
I thought it was becuse I used too high a temp for the 1min soak.

I thought it was because I used too high a temp for the 1min soak.
Yes, underexposure or too high temperature in the water bath causes milk.
Did you use the original MBDCG formula (the one with Acetic Acid), or the adapted one (with Boric Acid)?

Dear Hans
I used the adapted formula, with boric acid. The plates are good for two days, and then the emulsion breaks up like shaved plastic when you dry it.
