Wow, that's pretty neat! A pulsed laser opens lots of possibilities, like maybe
something falling into liquid with splashing and bubbles etc...

My favorite pulsed hologram of all time is from laser reflections. It is a pair of hands with water being poured over them. It is stunning!

It is much better in person! But the photo give the idea. One day when I am rich I will buy a copy.

nice Video Adam.. ... you are leading the way into a new frontier..... Colins i believe this has been a long time dream of Adam to do a pulsed hologram of water drop

Actually Adam has done the hard part. He now has a seed laser. It is much easier to build an amplifier! If you look on the wiki there is some good stuff. I also have some of Rotorwaves site mirrored here:

Cool! What is the size of the plate? Do you know the energy output from the laser?

This piece of film is 3,5x2,5cm, so it's rather small window :)
YAGna puts out 8-15mJ of 532nm, but SSY1 I'm driving SSY1 at very low power (6,7J; starts lasing at 4,8J).
I tested the laser up to 9J and it gave 36-40mJ of green.
At full power (15J) i would expect something like 50-55mJ output.
Lamp can be overdriven to 30J, but the original q-switch won't survive such a punishment.
If more power is needed I always have 500J in fast Maxwell caps of 4500J in electrolytics

greetings
Adam
