Last night I continued to increase the object beam using John's duel reference beam set up and more included more light from the sides. Again the photos don't look as good as the real thing.

Cool. Are the green areas particularly shiny (shrunk more) or is this a multiple exposure?

That is a great question Michael, on that I was going to ask the forum folks.
It is a single wavelenght (532nm)
The actual object is gold with blue stripes.
The blue turned out a vivid green with a slight dark shadow.
I would have guess the blue would act lik black and absorbed the green wavelength. Not sure what is going on but it does look cool.
Thanks for asking

yes nice hologram tony. it looks as if your broadly reflecting hologram is showing the chromatic blur you get as your object appears further into the plate. if you were to reprocess to narrow its replay the green banding in the black stripes would dissappear ......

Thank you Dave,
Is there something on Wiki as to how the reprocessing is done?
If this was done does it narrow the viewing angle?

no it wont effect the viewing angle at all, as a matter of fact it will give you greater depth, as only one color is allowed to be reflected and the narrower the color band the greater the depth (also dimmer). this narrow banding or color tuning is what you want to achieve to make efficient green master hologram for making H2s

Thanks Dave,
So is reprocessing the act of running the plate through the water bath and the IPA baths again?
I vaguely remember reading this on John's web site or on the forum.
I have a couple I have not sealed, is it too late to try it?
Many thanks,
Tony

yes tony i sounds like john has you on the correct path, lower your 100% alc bath temerature and dry on hot glass or stone ........ check it peroidodically,as you dont want to shift it past 532 nm.
