This is a link I picked up from APUG: Raphael Meldola's The Chemistry of Photography, 1889, can be downloaded at http://www.archive.org/details/chemistr ... 00meldrich

Despite its age it still provides some interesting information about silver halide emulsions...

This is a gem, with a good deal of practical information. All I need

now is a demijohn of Phlogiston to fire my coherent lantern!! :)

I also wasn't aware of the archive.org site - an amazing amount of intriguing stuff...

Thanks!

http://www.archive.org/details/hypersen ... 00burkrich deals with hypersensitization of panchromatic plates
