I'm glad you get a kick out of it!



It wasn't until I started browsing the forums associated with xkcd that I learned that each comic has a "mouseover." That is, if you view the comics on their website and hover your mouse pointer on it for a while, the text that appears adds to the joke in some way.

A hydrogen atom lost its electron and went to the police station to file a missing electron report. He was questioned by the police: "Haven't you just misplaced it somewhere? Are you sure that your electron is really lost?"

I may have posted this before but it is one of my favorites. It was above a bench 20 years ago when I worked at the Lawerence Hall of Science.
