8) There will be a "model-less" fashion show next week using holograms. Let's pray Al Gore's Live Earth hologram isn't there.

I'm wondering what the heck is holographic about all of this? There are some manufacturers of screens for projectors, both back lit and front lit, that use HOE's to concentrate light in certain directions. Maybe this is what makes it holographic? This topic keeps popping up often.

This isn't any more "holographic" than my left big toe.

"Hologram" has been taken to mean (by the great unwashed masses) "any imagery that looks like it has depth. And glows."
