Tell me if you want to sell any. Serious. I spent years in holography and gave away all my holograms, so I don't have any of my own either!

Thanks Kaveh If one day you come to Boston, just send me an email, it will be a pleasure to show you the Gentet's big clown. I think he just made 10 of them. An exhibition? Dunno. Just to think of my holograms outside of my appartment, in unknown hands, I would die of fear I never really thought about it. There is already the MIT holography museum here, which is not bad. They have the largest collection in the world, but they show just a few of them.

By the way I have some new holograms to put in my virtual museum, but I am so slow to take pictures and everything. That includes two lovely DCG plates of geckos by Dinesh (http://www.triple-take.com for those who don't know his work).

Thinking about it, if you want to buy holograms, check eBay, from time to time you have some opportunity. Like last week, I missed two color art holograms by Larry Lieberman:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... egory=4174
and
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... egory=4174

If you want a nice good-sized monochrome hologram for your living-room, the unbeatable price / quality balance is undoubtly http://www.holography.ru.

Hey Michael. Insurance? Hmm. Now you scare me

I know this paragraph I wrote sounds a little bit hopeless. That was my mood when I wrote it. Fortunately, some people prove me wrong all the time when I'm pessimist. Great people run profitable businesses and still do very nice art holography. And, about the money value of holograms, one or two weeks after writing this stuff, I sold a small hologram (the only one I ever sold) for more than ten times the price I bought it. It's the "Black Lagoon Creature" photopolymer one. But then it was a very special case (a small funny cheapo thing from an hologram collector point of view, but a treasure gem worth hundreds of dollars from a pinball collector perspective, and I had no idea until I saw an auction on eBay).

Anyway. Maybe one day I will write something more positive on my page

Wow! That clown is freaking amazing! I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It's hard to believe that it is a hologram. That hologram is what all other holograms strive to be.
What kind of price range are we talking about here?

By the way, I love the Birch Russian hologram as well. I've always wanted to buy that one.

Thank you Danny, I found some papers I didn't have. One of the paper links was broken however.

non-classical dichromates

Need is probably too strong of a word. I have been collecting holography related pdfs for a couple of years and have over 100Mb! Someday I will have to print them and put them into a binder so I can use them. I seem to find things much better in print rather than in files on my hard drive.
