hey piano
long time no see
got myself a 20 mW hene laser from the states, should arrive soon
then im gonna start with that TEA aswell
im also planning on doing the sand table thing and a mulitbeam setup
very expensive all that stuff that has to be baught
speacially worried about that collimating mirror, the prices are insane
but i finally want to be able to change lighting conditions

if you are a smart buyer there's always a bargain to be had a the big "E".
what make is your hene?

If you build a sand table, use the coarse washed sand. The smaller play sand kicks up way too much dust in the air anytime you work with it. Optics do not like sand so again, use the coarse washed sand.

Good day.
Yesterday I shot a holo on 4x5" TEA-treated (9%) DIY plate. It my brightest holo so far, emulsion sensitivity didn't differ from other plates (c.a. 1,5mJ/cm^2) , replay color is deep green as expected. Exposed with HeNe laser.
O.K. now the tricky part - the plate was sensitized and TEAed (in the same evening) something like 40 days ago . Since then it was kept in a paper box, without wrapping. Ambient temperature was 20-21 deg. C, humidity was 60-70%.
Why didn't the TEA evaporize ?
How long do you keep you TEAed plates before use ?
Emulsion being kept in the conditions described above would still have 20-25% of water in it - but is it enough to cause such a color shift (assuming I had no TEA in my emulsion) ?
greetings
Adam
