BEST FILMS ?

Post by John Howard »

My project cannot tolerate such long exposure times, so I am now switching from Litiholo's photopolymer film to chemistry film beginning with Slavich VRP-M green sensitive which I purchased from Integraph. With shipping, that is costing me around $5 per each 4x5 sheet.

My questions:

1) Do any of you have opinions about the best green-sensitive film (4x5) or the best place to purchase (lower price)?
2) Eventually, I will want to find a 4x5 panchromatic film - not glass mounted. Integraph only sells glass mounted. Any sources?

Thanks for any clues.

Hi, John,
I guess you are aware of Ultimate films, https://shop.ultimate-holography.com/. Slavich PFG-03C is also available as film roll, see http://geola.com/product/pfg-03c-film-rolls/

Hi Valery, can you tell me:

Size of film (my project uses 4" x 5")
processing (I am now using JD-2 with VRP-M film)
Cost of film - Minimum order
cost of shipping for minimum order
cost of shipping for sample

NOTE: I cannot use plates - film only, not mounted on glass

Thanks much,
John

The film in a roll 12 cm wide for the sample winding 5-6 meters. I hope enough is enough? . ))) Processing in GP-2.
Forwarding by regular or express mail? I recognize the price.

For now, I cannot handle film on rolls. This will have to wait. I will save this thread for later. Thank you.
