Do you think Light Field Lab's upcoming holographic display is a fly-eye lens array or a new type of technology?

This is veering into the subject of digital 3-D light-fields.
Fly-eye lens arrays are a type of lenticular lens array used for omni-directional light-fields, used to turn digital light images into 3-D light-fields
I came across Light Field Lab CEO Jon Karafin's talk on his tech (link below) and I was very intrigued. Karafin was quite mum about his tech, I'm wondering what you guys think

He disregards the definitions of "hologram" and "holographic" to suit his argument that what he's doing is the latter. It's not. Real, actual holograms are light field displays, but all light field displays are neither holograms nor holographic. His technology is the very definition of fauxlographic, despite his polished and arrogant presentation. He also conveniently fails to mention any of the work being done in real digital holography with cameras capturing fringe patterns, or fringe patterns on LCoS displays. Same thing with Avalon Holographics. Not holography. Parallax-barrier on steroids.

nice, can you link me to this "fringe patterns on LCoS displays" stuff?

Can make integrals here using electronic images (moving or static)....
