where to find lasers for holography

Post by pascal jardin »

hey guys, I'm sorry but i need red, green, and blue lasers that are holography worthy.

I bought some lasers that where powerful enough but where not frequency stable.

I link to buy cheap holography lasers for red, green and blue would be great!

Thanks,
Pascal

I found my red laser on eBay with keywords : "melles griot", it's a famous "brand" of lab laser & equipements, it's a good starting point.

I'm new in the Holograph world but i agree with jrburns47 ... ask user 142laser or look at his ebay store. Totally recommended!! he even shipped my laser to Japan. Theres no better person to ask about lasers than him.

Melles Griot sells many types of lasers. Not all of them are suitable for holography. Which takes us back to the beginning: if you are not a laser expert, buy it from someone who is (such as Phil "142laser" Bergeron).

Just an FYI incase nowhere else on forum - if duplicated sincere apologies, brand new to this group.

If you buy a color kit from them (litiholo) they include tem00 red, green & blue diode lasers...$349

regardless of what you think of the "toy kit" it does actually work & the lasers work too, just not very powerful (~4-5mW?) not sure

I have heard that the green and the blue lasers in the litiholo kit have very limited coherence. Do you have any experience with that?

I cannot speak to that. Have successfully used the kit as instructed and on a few stand-alone blue and green Holograms of no more than a 5 in" Cube of depth in single beam reflection setup.

Will do when unpacked and reorganized. They were just tests, packed up when moved temp studio this Jan.
