Is brightness a function of exposure time ?

This Part A + Part B seems going nice on the shelf, no coloration or whatsoever, however, my Part A shows some nice cristallisation xD :

On the picture, I have already disturbed it a bit, when left un-moved, it constructs some nice "snow-flakes-like" assemblages.
