DCG and angle

I read or heard that there is a relationship between the angle in which DCG is shot and the color outcome.

I know Dave did this on his cool color holos.

When making a master do any of you shorten the angle (towards 45degrees) in order to make BB H1/H2?
If I recall Dave had more angle to shift blue and steeper for red?
Is that right Dave?

How and why does this effect BB?
