What is the best gelatin to use?
I see that fish gelatin is more transparent than bovine, wonder if that helps in the final efficiency, or refractive index modulation. Anyone know which one gives the highest index modulation?

Gelatin needs to be considered in context of a particular formulation/processing schedule, and the formulation/processing schedule needs to be considered in the context of the gelatin in question. So there is no single "best" gelatin. For DCG, I recommend Type B, bone or hide. Knox gelatin sold in small packets at the grocery store has worked well for me. I don't know what Knox really "is."
