last week i have started to shoot some VRP-M films and tested different developers and bleach combinations. using JD bleach and developers, i have gotten an expected result, foggy holograms. i had ultimate developer in stock which i have never used for 1 year. i want to test Ed's suggestion(actually he suggested for GEO3 emulsions) to solve milky film problem and prepared 3 developer at a temperature between 17-19 C degree. ultimate,jd4,sm6. i have kept the film in ultimate developer at least for 10 min but couldn t see any developing and after whashing it developed in jd4 then bleached in jd4 bleach. i was keeping ascorbic acid treatment solution in reserve but after this proccess i got a good transmission hologram which is really cool, clear and bright. i experienced same problem with ultimate before, it complately dies after 1-2 months, but something inside of it still keeps making some reaction on the emulsion.
any idea? what might be the reason?
unknown solution for milky VRP-m films
