I ran across this old picture this weekend.
It's my table from around '91.
It consisted of a rickety wooden table with plywood on top, a layer of sorbothane balls and another layer of plywood. The bases were all gravity bases. I actually used it to make pretty decent masters and my first white light transfers (reflection and rainbow).

At the time I was using Kodak 4x5" SO-173. The laser is a surplus 5mW HeNe I'd purchased from Meredith after my cat killed the previous tube by knocking it off my table.
