MBDCG using TEA

Post by Xray » Sat Sep 09, 2017 2:12 am

Hello! Help me please... I've found a recipe of MBDCG. Could i use triethanolamine instead of TMG in this recipe?

P.s. Sorry if it sounds stupid.

Triethanolamine (TEA) can be used for MB sensitized DCG – though at a very low concentration (and at the expense of photo speed).
Jeff Blyth pointed out that TEA tends to form complexes with Cr3, largely preventing gelatin crosslinking. Moreover he mentioned a significant dark reaction under alkaline conditions.

I think, i should add TEA "until PH reached 9.0", like TMG.
