Hi All,
I don't know if this is the right thread for my question.
I'm looking for a compact RGB collimated unit which outputs a 1-inch, aligned, collimated beam.
I haven't been able to find an appropriate one. The lasers don't need to be super coherent, laser diodes work just fine.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
If you know a supplier or specific company, please send me the link.

Hi,
Dave Battin on this forum and on the facebook forum is selling RGB laser engines.

You are unlikely to find anything off the shelf with a 1" output but you can expand the beam and then run it through a columnating lens.

Re: compact RGB collimated unit
I actually have that one. I made the laser driver myself.
It has two problems. The polarization for green is different than Red and Blue, so I will need to add a waveplate to the green which is a challenge given the super small space.
Also, the lasers are not very well aligned and in order to expand that, I will need an apochromatic telescopic stage. I'm afraid the misalignment causes me some trouble.
Do you have any solutions in mind for this?

The alignment problems are beyond me though you may be able to resolve your polarisation problem by rotating the diodes in their housing if they allow it.
I suspect they are glued in but access to the diodes looks easier than the green.

Re: compact RGB collimated unit
Yes alignment is to difficult to achieve, I’ve now cut the red and green laser out of the engine housing along w collimating optics, now both red and green beams are matched, then simply combined w a dichroic...
