measuring laser intensity

Post by chris75 »

good morning
I'm a math and physics teacher and semi-beginner in holographic work.
I need an instrument for measuring laser intensity and decide time exposure etc.
can you give me some hint? I have a HeNe laser 2mW.
BEst regards

Seems a pretty decent instrument.

You can use a silicon chip connected Multimeter and use as a reference … $20

If u have a chip you can connect it directly to up to this power meter , and have fully functional power meter ,good for all visual wavelengths!

Got to ask you a couple questions….

What film are u using?

With only 2mw you are quite limited,
So There’s little need for a $250 meter
Maybe your budget will allow for an upgrade HeNe of 20 mw
$100 ?

I can hook you up when your ready to upgrade, w only 2mw your exposures will be very long (not good) !
