potassium dichromate

Wanting to do some monochrome DCG's, I decided to try potassium dichromate rather than ammonium. I think the potassium will make an easier transition to dye-sensitized color DCG, if needed. Also, it's claimed that it produces "redder" holograms. Red has been the more difficult color for me in color DCG, plus red laser power tends to be the lowest (HeNe) unless someone has a six figure holography budget, and can buy new cobolts.

This stuff is nasty. I made up a 5% solution as shown in the photo. It has a surprising health rating of 4, which I think is worse than ammonium dichromate or potassium chromate I've used before. I was reading somewhere that it produces "irreversible tissue necrosis on contact." Yay.
