Interesting work, thanks for sharing it.
In my opinion, it should be possible to do such long exposures on MBDCG in the split-beam reflection format as well, if enough care is taken to stabilize the setup. What do you think, Kris?
My plans are to use stable objects and mounts, along with the shortest beam paths possible after the beamsplitter (using a highly diverging reference beam, and doing likewise for the object beam). Also using a table with minimal thermal expansion (granite), temperature and draft control, etc.

It looks really nice; 15 minute split beam, thats impressive. Was this your first attempt?

Congratulations Kris!
Will you make reflection copy of this holo ?
Will (or did) you try single-beam transmissions with MBDCG ?
What is the size of the hologram ?
greetings
Adam

The sizes is 4 by 5 inch.
I made 4 exposures this one is the best the vibration was not a big problem the beamratio is very important I think 1:1 is the best for MBDCG.
I tried also a singlebeam transmission it looks also good but it is difficult to light the whole object.
Yes I think splitbeam reflection works also.
