Holograms as Optics

Post by Sangi »

Hey
I am trying to make hologram of different lenses, so the hologram acts out the optical property of the lens and becomes the optical element/lens itself in usuage. Does anyone know how I should go about it? I tried a reflection hologram with a red laser as I thought it should be simple but I did not get any accurate results. If anyone has an answer to this please let me know asap.

(Eg: I am trying a hologram of a magnifying lens, so the plate actas as a magnifying lens under light with objects behind, I do not want to try transmission because I want to be able to put different objects behind it and see it under light and passing laser through it might not work for me).
