Can decorative, transparent holographic film be applied to Lexan in such a way that the Lexan can be slightly bent, and withstand being outdoors? Can the film be laminated within two sheets of Lexan or would that destroy the film/image/experience? I'm trying to make something like a window, but with holographic images.
Any assistance/ideas would be so much appreciated. Thank you!

Embossed hologram materials can certainly be put onto Lexan. Bending it hologram will mess up the image. Even the dot matrix images. Holographic films are not very durable. I'd think they wouldn't last very long in sunlight, or being cleaned of outdoors contamination.

If it's polyethylene okay, but why would embossed acrylic or polycarbonate film degrade in sunlight?
Laminated rainbow security holograms seem pretty durable ... survive washing at least.

The decorative will be a transmission or reflection hologram? If you could emboss a transparent Window film (museum type) with a hologram the problem is solved, again regarding transmission hologram type a coated monolayer photopolymer actually can be shot at open air without cover onto a polycarbonate plate with a good efficiency transmission hologram, no cover necessary.
