Stereoscopic Displays and Applications - 2005

Post by Gregg Favalora »

Folks -

Are you are interested in three-dimensional (electronic) displays - such as stereoscopic, "autostereoscopic," volumetric, and multi-view displays - and their associated software, standards, and perceptual studies?

You might want to attend or submit an abstract for Stereoscopic Displays and Applications (SD&A) 2005, which is sponsored by SPIE and IS&T. The abstract deadline is quickly approaching.

You might want to take a moment & check it out. The conference is very well-attended by industry and academic leaders, and represents one of the world's focal points for presenting progress in 3-D display technologies. Also, there are usually 30-40 hands-on demos of advanced 3-D display products.

SD&A is part of a larger symposium, Electronic Imaging 2005, which traditionally has also included the Practical Holography conference. I don't know if they're "together" in 2005, but it's all worth a serious look.
